Launch of Buddhist Studies Advanced Certificate Program (BSACP)
Nov 14, 2025
We are delighted to announce that after much anticipation, we have officially launched our next learning track, the Buddhist Studies Advanced Certificate Program (BSACP).
Drawing on the latest and most cutting-edge research in Buddhist Studies, this program offers students an in-depth overview of the development of Buddhism, in theory and practice, from its earliest origins in South Asia, to its living traditions in the contemporary world. Through a robust curriculum of online courses, students engage in university-level coursework in the history and practice of Buddhism, traditional Indian philosophy, textual study and analysis, as well as foundational training in classical Pali, Sanskrit, and/or Tibetan language. The program culminates in a graduate seminar where students will have the opportunity to carry out their own research project and present their work in a graduate symposium.
The first BS 501 Graduate Seminar with Dr. Kate Hartmann is scheduled to take place this next Fall 2026—so you have plenty of time to get your credits in order to participate.
When you sign up for the program, you will be able to track your credits as you go with the new BSACP dashboard!
